Overview

SourdoughCraft is a fully offline iOS application that provides recipes, techniques, tools, and reference material for sourdough baking. The app does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not transmit data to any servers after installation.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device Only

• Favorites: Which recipes and reference items you have marked as favorites (stored via UserDefaults).
• Personal Notes: Any notes you write on individual recipes (stored privately on your device).
• Baking History: Records of when you have marked recipes as "Baked" (counts and dates).
• Starter Feeding Log: Your sourdough starter feeding history, observations, and notes.
• Measurement Preferences: Your preferred unit system (metric or imperial).

All of the above data stays exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to us or any third party.

No Account or Sign-In

SourdoughCraft does not require or support user accounts, sign-in, or cloud synchronization.

Advertising & Analytics

Google AdMob

• The free version of the app displays ads served by Google AdMob.
• AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location (country level), and usage data for the purpose of serving personalized or contextual ads.
• You can remove all ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase ("Remove Ads").

No Other Analytics

We do not use any other analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry services that send data from the app.

Managing Your Ad Consent

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we are required by applicable law to obtain your consent before serving personalized advertisements.

What consent covers: When you first launch SourdoughCraft, you may be shown a consent form asking whether you agree to receive personalized ads. If you decline, you will still see ads — but they will be contextual rather than personalized.

How to change your consent at any time:

1. Open SourdoughCraft
2. Go to the About tab (bottom of the app)
3. Tap Ad Preferences in the Privacy section
4. Adjust your advertising consent settings in the form that appears

The "Ad Preferences" button is only shown in regions where GDPR or equivalent consent requirements apply.

External opt-out: You can also manage your Google ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com.

Effect of withdrawal: Withdrawing consent means personalized ads will no longer be shown for new ad requests. You may still see contextual ads.

In-App Purchases

The "Remove Ads" purchase is a non-consumable one-time purchase processed through Apple's App Store. Purchase history is managed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any personal or payment information.

Children's Privacy

SourdoughCraft is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Your Choices

• You can delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting and reinstalling the app.
• You can turn off personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will indicate when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
